About the race
Punk Panther Skipton Skedaddle is a trail running event based in the market town of Skipton, starting and finishing at St. Andrew's Church, Newmarket Street, Skipton BD23 2JE. The route uses sections of the Dales High Way, River Aire Ultra and Pennine Way and the longest course visits Malham Tarn and Gordale Scar.
Distances:
- 13 miles: 1500 ft climb, ITRA 1, UTMB Q20K
- 20 miles: 2200 ft climb, ITRA 1, UTMB Q20K
- 34 miles: 4200 ft climb, ITRA 2, UTMB Q50K
The event is open to entrants aged 18 or older and has a maximum field of 200. Entry fees vary by distance and change on 1 December 2026; entries open 1 July 2026 and close 28 March 2027. Registration and finish facilities include toilets and food at the finish with vegan and gluten free options. Parking is available at the Pay & Display car park on Cavendish Street.
Checkpoints provide water, cola, energy bars and crisps and a box for vegan and gluten free supplies; support crews are not permitted at official checkpoints. All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; other distances can hire a tracker for £15. The event publishes provisional GPX files and issues final race instructions to competitors before the event.
A mandatory kit list applies to all distances and random kit checks may be carried out on course. Dogs are permitted on the route subject to event rules; trophies and other event details are provided by the organiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
