Pulse Endurance Runs

The Pulse Endurance Runs take place at Eagle Island State Park near Boise, Idaho, on a flat dirt loop of about 2.5 miles that borders the Boise River and Eagle Island pond. The event is organized as timed races and a fixed-distance option, all run on the same looped course.

Distances and formats include:

  • 48 hour timed race
  • 24 hour timed race
  • 12 hour timed race
  • 6 hour timed race
  • 100 mile fixed-distance option
  • 100 mile relay for teams up to five runners

Runners may have crew support every lap in a designated area adjacent to the course. An official aid station is located at the start/finish and is available every 2.5 miles as participants complete each lap. Parking is provided adjacent to the course with designated spaces for campers and RVs; a state park entry fee applies per vehicle unless exempt by a parks passport.

Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the event at a local running store and then at the park under the shelter. Local entrants are requested to provide one volunteer to cover a minimum four hour shift. Pacers are permitted once a runner is at the halfway point of their chosen timed race; pacers are not allowed in the relay. Overall top three finishers in each race will receive awards. All entries are non refundable and registration closes March 11 at 11:59 PM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
