Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic
The Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic is a three-day race weekend in Tampa, Florida, based at 333 South Franklin Street. The weekend program includes a Health & Fitness Expo, Pepperjack's Hot Diggity Dog Walk, multiple race distances, and a series of multi-event challenges.

The course is described as a flat out and back waterfront route along Bayshore Boulevard. A post race celebration along the Hillsborough River features one free Michelob Ultra beer for registered participants 21 years or older, live music, and an awards presentation.
The event is organized by the Gasparilla Distance Classic Association, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The association directs proceeds to youth charitable organizations and youth running and high school programs. Historically the association has donated over $6.9 million to organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, and Friends of Tampa Recreation. Fundraising pages associated with the event show $3,321.72 raised.
Many race entries list included items such as a gender-specific race shirt, timed bib number, reusable shopping bag, virtual finisher’s certificate, finisher’s towel, and finisher’s medal.
