5th Annual ProYouth Color Run
The 5th Annual ProYouth Color Run takes place in Visalia, California, featuring multiple distance options on a course that includes both road and grass surfaces. Participants can choose between two primary event formats:
- 5k (timed race without designated color stations)
- 2 Miles (untimed color run)
The 5k is a timed competition. Trophies are awarded to the top overall male and female finishers. While this distance is intended for those who prefer to remain clean, some exposure to color powder may still occur.
The 2 Miles color run is an untimed event where participants can run, walk, or dance through the course. This route features color stations where powder is thrown at participants. There are no age group awards for this distance.
All participants receive a participation medal, a white t-shirt, and a swag bag. Organizers recommend wearing sunglasses and head coverings, and masks or bandannas are suggested to prevent inhaling the colored powder. Post-race activities include a health fair with music provided by a DJ. Water and bananas are provided to runners after they finish.
Photos are taken at the finish line for all events and along the course for the color run. All proceeds from the event support programs and students within the ProYouth afterschool network. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
