Project Triathlon // LMS
Project Triathlon // LMS is a Last Man Standing style triathlon held in Springfield, MO on 14 August 2027. The event uses a repeated elimination format: athletes complete the same short triathlon loop each round and must meet a strict hourly cutoff to remain in the race.
Each round consists of these segments:
- 100 m swim
- 4 mi bike
- 1 mi run
Athletes must be in the start corral every hour on the hour and finish each loop in under 60 minutes to continue to the next round. Whatever time remains in the hour after completing a loop is the only permitted rest before the next start. The last remaining athlete is required to complete one final solo loop to be declared the champion.
Registration opened on 19 October 2026 and closed on 1 January 2027. The listed registration fee was $80.00. The event is organized under the Project Triathlon name and follows an elimination procedure rather than fixed-distance finishing positions.
