Princeton Triathlon
The Princeton Triathlon is a multi-sport event held in Princeton, New Jersey. The competition features various formats including triathlon, duathlon, and aquabike, alongside a standard 5 km running race. A dedicated youth triathlon clinic is also scheduled on the day preceding the main competitions.
Participants can choose from several event distances and formats:
- Sprint Triathlon: 400 meter swim, 10.5 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run.
- Sprint Triathlon Relay: 400 meter swim, 10.5 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run.
- SuperSprint Triathlon: 300 meter swim, 5.5 mile bike, and 1.5 mile run.
- Youth Triathlon: 100 meter swim, 3 mile bike, and 0.75 mile run.
- Sprint Duathlon: 2.5 mile run, 10.5 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run.
- Sprint Aquabike: 400 meter swim and 10.5 mile bike.
- 5k Run: A standard 5 km running course.
Recognition is provided for top performers across multiple categories. In the Sprint and SuperSprint triathlon events, awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three in specific high school and age group categories ranging from ages 13 to over 80. The Youth Triathlon features age group awards for three specific brackets: 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12 years old. The Duathlon and Aquabike events also recognize the top three overall finishers and winners in ten-year age increments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
