Event overview
The Candy Cane 5K is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Cairn University in Langhorne, PA. The event is organized in collaboration with Cairn University, ChoiceOne, AlphaCare and RUN 12:1 Running Club to raise funds for the New Horizon Scholarship Fund at Cairn University. The scholarship supports new mothers whose education and career plans were interrupted by pregnancy and parenthood; full tuition recipients also receive academic support and community mentoring. Participants are encouraged to wear festive attire. Prizes are planned for top finishers and for the best Christmas-themed costumes for individuals and teams of three or more. All registrants receive a long sleeve race shirt, candy canes, hot chocolate with marshmallows, Christmas cookies, and post-race water and bananas. Award categories for the 5K include top three male and female overall and age group awards.
