Candy Cane 5K
The Candy Cane 5K is a holiday-themed running event held at Cairn University in Langhorne, Pennsylvania on December 5, 2026. The course uses paved roads over a rolling-terrain layout on the campus and nearby neighborhood streets. There is a family friendly 1-mile fun run/walk option and a virtual option for remote participation.

All registrants receive a long sleeve event T-shirt, candy canes, hot chocolate with marshmallows, and Christmas cookies, along with the usual post-event water and bananas. Awards for the 5k include top three male and female overall winners, age group awards, and Christmas-themed costume prizes; both individual costumes and team costumes of three or more are eligible for prizes. The event is presented as a collaboration between Cairn University, ChoiceOne, AlphaCare and RUN 12:1 Running Club to raise funds for the New Horizon Scholarship Fund at Cairn University. The scholarship initiative provides support to new mothers whose educational or career plans are interrupted by unplanned pregnancy and parenthood; full tuition recipients also receive academic support and a Christian community.
Parking guidance notes that lots D and E will not be available on race day and that event parking signs direct attendees to lot C or the upper campus lots.
