Event overview
The 2026 Princeton 5K takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Princeton High School, 151 Moore Street, Princeton. The event includes a 5K and a Kids Dash. The Kids Dash is a 300 m loop for participants under 10. The event is in its 17th year and supports the Princeton High School Cross Country and Track & Field teams.

New for 2026, the event adds a family team competition that combines times for Mother/Daughter, Mother/Son, Father/Daughter and Father/Son teams. There is also a school competition that awards a trophy to the school (students and staff) with the highest number of participants; registrants are asked to select their school from a drop-down menu.
Registration, fees and extras
Early 5K registration is listed at $40 through March 20, 2026, with a $45 race day fee; a $3 USATF discount is noted. Kids Dash registration is $15. Participants who register by March 1, 2026 are guaranteed a shirt. The fundraiser option allows participants who commit to raising $150 or more for Princeton High School XC/Track & Field to have registration fees waived up front; anyone who does not meet the $150 minimum by April 30 will be charged the standard $45 fee.
