2026 Princeton 5K : event overview

The Princeton 5K takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Princeton, New Jersey. Now in its 17th year, the event is held as an in-person community race that raises funds for the Princeton High School Cross Country and Track & Field teams.

The event program includes:

Kids Dash : a 300 m loop for children under 10 years

New features for 2026 include family team categories that combine finish times for Mother/Daughter, Mother/Son, Father/Daughter and Father/Son teams, and a school participation trophy awarded to the school with the highest number of participants. Participants who commit to raising at least $150 for the Princeton High School XC/Track & Field fundraiser will have registration fees waived up front; participants who do not meet that fundraising minimum by April 30 will be charged the standard fee.

Registration fees are listed as follows: the 5K is priced at $40 through March 20 and $45 on race day, with a $3 USATF discount noted; the Kids Dash fee is $15. Shirts are guaranteed for participants registered by March 1, 2026. Kids Dash participants will receive a youth-sized t-shirt and wear bib number 1.
