The Princeton 5K is an in-person community event in its 17th year. It is held to support the Princeton High School Cross Country and Track & Field teams.

Event Details

The event takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Princeton High School, located at 151 Moore Street, Princeton, NJ. The 5K is an in-person only event. Participants registered by March 1, 2026, are guaranteed a shirt. Kids Dash participants receive a youth t-shirt.

Awards and Competitions

The event features overall and age group awards. New for 2026 are family team categories: Mother/Daughter, Mother/Son, Father/Daughter, and Father/Son, with combined times determining the winner. A school competition awards a trophy to the school (students and staff) with the highest number of participants.

Registration

Standard registration for the 5K is $40 until March 20, 2026, and $45 on race day. The Kids Dash is $15. A "Run for Free" option waives the 5K registration fee for participants who commit to raising $150 or more for the Princeton High School teams.
