The Pretzel Run and Oktoberfest in Louisville, CO
The event combines trail running with an Oktoberfest-style post-race celebration at a new Louisville location. Distances offered include:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half marathon
- Kids Pretzel Mile
Every participant receives a collectable bib with three pull-tags for finish-line goodies. Finishers get a wooden finisher medal; half marathon finishers receive a medallion and one additional beer or wine token. A limited edition glass bier stein featuring the event logo will be available for 2026, with prior mug styles offered on site.
A free warm pretzel is provided at the finish line by 47 Bakerei. The organizer imports several German foods and treats for the event, including original Haribo gummi bears and multiple German-style mustards for tasting. MADabolic gyms are listed as an official sponsor and are offering a free gym session at Westminster or Denver locations about 15 minutes away.
The course uses compact, wide trails and features a route split a short distance after the start so 10k and 5k runners follow different loops; the 5k heads toward a hillier section while the 10k follows a flatter loop first and returns to complete the other loop. The post-race area includes live Bavarian-style music, a beer garden, food vendors with grilled sausages and sauerkraut, and a family-friendly festival atmosphere.
