Pretzel Run
The Pretzel Run is an Oktoberfest themed running event held in Louisville Community Park, Louisville, Colorado. The event includes a sports expo, vendor area, family activities, a post-race festival at the start/finish area, and live German style music and a DJ. Registration for 2026 is open.
Packet pickup is offered before the race at Louisville Runners Roost, located at 459 McCaslin Blvd, Louisville. The event was originally part of the Louisville Oktoberfest and previously sold out in several years with fields of about 500 runners.
Race entries include event-specific items and festival access. All adult runners receive a traditional 500 ml German glass beer mug, one free beer or nonalcoholic beverage at the onsite beer garden, a large warm pretzel, and a finisher medallion shaped like a beer mug with a Bavarian colored ribbon. The kids mile includes a kids cup, finisher medal, CapriSUN, and a pretzel. The event uses timing chips and awards overall winners in each age group.
The post-race area at the community park features a beer garden with wine options, German mustards and food, local entertainment, and an awards ceremony. A nearby restaurant two blocks away hosts additional post-race food and activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
