About the race
The Pretzel Run in Louisville, CO for 2026 offers trail races and an Oktoberfest-style post event. The run includes multiple distances and a separate Kids Pretzel Mile. The event is limited to 600 runners and the addition of a half marathon increases available race entries. Runners receive a collectable bib with three pull-tags to claim items at the finish, and a wooden finisher medal for completed distances.
Half marathon entrants receive a medallion and one additional beer or wine at the post race Oktoberfest. Other included items and features are a free warm pretzel at the finish provided by 47 Bakerei, a limited edition glass bier stein with the event logo, and German confectionery and mustards imported from Germany. The event partner MADabolic offers a free gym session at Westminster or Denver locations, and on-site staff will be present. Music and entertainment are part of the race day, with a DJ to start the event and live Bavarian music during the Oktoberfest.
Food options at the festival include traditional items such as brats, sauerkraut, and large pretzels for purchase. The courses use compact, wide trails. Runners start together and split after about 200 meters; the 10k follows a flatter west loop first while the 5k heads east onto a hillier course.
