Preston Fast 5 Road Race
The Preston Fast 5 Road Race is a 5K event held on a traffic free three lap course composed of a one mile lap cycle track at the University of Lancashire Sports Arena in Preston. The course is described as fast and flat with no tight corners and is accurately measured.
The event is organised by Preston Harriers and is one of a series of Wednesday evening races held during spring and early summer. Each race evening comprises two separate races divided by target finishing times: Race 1 for sub 18:00 minutes and Race 2 for over 18:00 minutes. Entry limits are set for each race and the minimum age on the day of the event is 16 years.
Entry is managed through SiEntries and requires a site account. Entry fees listed are £7.00 for UKA members and £9.00 for non members. Entries open and close on specified dates, and there are no entries on the day of the race. Race numbers are available for collection on race day. Toilet facilities are available at the Sports Arena.
