Preston Fast 5 Road Race
The Preston Fast 5 Road Race is a measured 5K held on Wednesday 17 June 2026 at the University of Lancashire Sports Arena in Preston. The course is traffic free and flat, set on a one mile lap cycle track and run over three laps. The layout is reported to have no tight corners and the distance is accurately measured. The event is described as a no frills, no fuss race with no prizes.
Racing is organised into two separate races by target finishing time: one for runners aiming under 18 minutes and one for runners over 18 minutes. Each race has an entry limit of 60. The minimum age to compete is 16 years on the day of the event. Entry fees are shown as £7.00 for UKA members and £9.00 for non members. Entries open on Friday 1 May 2026 and close on Monday 15 June 2026. There are no entries on the day. Race numbers can be collected on race day from 5.45pm. Toilet facilities are available at the Sports Arena. There is a strictly no transfer or defer policy for entries.
