Lostock Hall Carnival 5km
The Lostock Hall Carnival 5km is a flat road race held on Saturday 4 July 2026 in Lostock Hall. The route uses roads closed for the carnival procession and family day and comprises two laps of the closed-road circuit, which provides viewing opportunities for supporters.
The event takes place on Wateringpool Lane in Lostock Hall, PR5 5AP, United Kingdom. Car parking is provided at Lostock Hall Academy off Todd Lane North, with a short walk to the starting area on Wateringpool Lane. Numbers are collected on the day adjacent to the start. Presentation of prizes takes place adjacent to the finish.
Entry is open to all aged 11 years and over on race day and is run under UK Athletics rules; entrants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult on the day. Entry fee is £15 plus booking fee, with a reduced £13 plus booking fee rate for UK Athletics affiliated runners. Entries close on Wednesday 1 July 2026.
Prizes are awarded to the first three overall and the first three female finishers, with prizes also for the first finisher in each veteran category. One prize is given per person unless a female finisher places in the top three overall and also receives the prize for her female position. All finishers receive a medal.
The race is organised in partnership between Lostock Hall Village Team and RunSmart. The organiser’s refund policy states no refunds or deferrals; number transfers are allowed until seven days before the event. A refund is available in line with She Races guidelines if an entrant discovers they are pregnant between entry and race day and arranges this with the organiser.
