Lostock Hall Carnival 5km
The Lostock Hall Carnival 5km is a mostly flat road race held on closed streets in Lostock Hall as part of the carnival procession and family day. The course uses a closed-road loop completed twice, allowing spectators to view the route.
The event is open to all aged 11 years and over on race day; entrants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult on the day. All finishers receive a medal. Prizes are awarded to the first three overall finishers, the first three female finishers, and the first finisher in each veteran category. One prize is given per person unless a female finisher places in the top three overall, in which case she receives both awards.
Entry fees are listed at £15 plus a booking fee, with a reduced fee of £13 plus booking fee for UK Athletics affiliated runners as applied during payment. Entries close on Wednesday 1 July 2026. Number transfers are permitted up to seven days before the event. The organiser follows She Races guidelines for pregnancy-related refunds between entry and race day.
Car parking is provided at Lostock Hall Academy off Todd Lane North, which is a short walk to the start area on Wateringpool Lane. Race numbers are collected adjacent to the start.
