Lostock Hall Carnival 5km
The event is a flat 5 km road race held on closed roads in Lostock Hall as part of the Lostock Hall Carnival and Family Day on Saturday 4 July 2026. The route uses a closed road circuit and is run over two laps, which provides viewing opportunities for supporters along the course.
Entrants must be aged 11 years and over on race day. Competitors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult on the day and the race is held under UK Athletics rules. Medals are awarded to all finishers.
Prizes are given for the first three overall finishers and the first three female finishers. There are prizes for the first finisher in each veteran category. One prize per person applies except that a female finishing in the top three overall may also receive the prize for her female position.
Entry fee is £15 plus a booking fee. UK Athletics affiliated runners pay £13 plus a booking fee. Entries close Wednesday 1 July 2026. Number transfers are allowed until seven days before the event. Refunds and deferrals are not offered except for a refund where an entrant discovers they are pregnant between entry and race day, in line with She Races guidelines.
Car parking is provided at Lostock Hall Academy off Todd Lane North, with a short walk to the start area on Wateringpool Lane. Race numbers are collected on the day adjacent to the start and presentation of prizes takes place adjacent to the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
