Event Overview
The Presidio Wall 5K takes place in San Francisco, California, at the Presidio Wall Playground. This running event is organized by DSE Runners and is held on a course that utilizes the natural landscape of the Presidio. Participants follow a route that begins and ends at the lawn area adjacent to West Pacific Avenue and Spruce Street.
Course Information
The 5 km course features a variety of different surfaces, including grass, trails, bike paths, wood chips, sand, and paved roads. The route includes several elevation changes, starting with an uphill section followed by a long downhill stretch around the park. Participants kemudian navigate a half-mile uphill segment and a gradual downhill. The final portions of the race include a significant uphill climb and a 200-yard downhill finish.
Logistics and Participation
This is a timed individual race held rain or shine. Street parking is available for participants in the neighborhoods adjacent to the park. The event includes specific categories for completion:
- 5 km individual run
All participants receive finisher ribbons upon completing the course. Recognition in the form of place ribbons is also provided to the top five overall finishers in the Men, Women, and Non-Binary categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
