Precious Life's Run for Life
Precious Life's Run for Life is a fundraising running and walking event in Altoona that begins inside the Altoona Curve stadium. The course includes one lap around the stadium warning track, proceeds toward Lakemont Park, and returns to the Curve stadium.
Distances offered:
- 5k Run (3.1 miles)
- 2 Mile Run (2 miles)
- 2 Mile Walk (2 miles)
Registration opens April 10 and closes June 26. The standard registration fee is $25; day-of-race registration is $30. Children under age 5 may run or walk for free. Participants who register before May 29 will receive a race t-shirt.
Awards recognize overall finishers and age-group top finishers. The 5k will honor the top three overall male and female finishers. The 2 mile run and 2 mile walk will recognize overall top finishers male and female. Awards will also be given to the top three male and female finishers in each event in these age categories: 6-11, 12-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79+.
Participants may set fundraising goals; the top three fundraisers will receive Precious Life swag, additional prizes, and recognition on race day. All proceeds benefit Precious Life pregnancy centers in Altoona, Johnstown, and Bedford. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
