PRC Pinwheel 5K Run and Fun Walk
The PRC Pinwheel events take place on April 17, 2027, at Donovan Park, 5805 Knoxville Ave, Peoria, IL 61614. This is the 15th Annual Pinwheel 5K Race presented by the Pediatric Resource Center. The program includes both in-person and virtual options.
Event distances:
- 5 km timed run in person
- 5 km fun walk in person
- 1 mile fun walk
- 5 km virtual run or walk
Proceeds from the events remain in Central Illinois and support the Pediatric Resource Center. Funds are used to provide specialized medical and social services for children who may have experienced physical abuse, sexual abuse, or neglect. The Community Board and PRC staff organize the event and manage funds to address growing local demand for child-friendly services.
Registration fees listed for the events are $30.00 for the in-person 5K and 1-mile events, $30.00 for the virtual 5K, and $10.00 for the kids fun run. Participants in the kids fun run receive a Kids Fun Shirt and an activity pack. Registration open and close dates are provided by the organizer.
