Prairie Moon 5k Pumpkin Fun Run
The event takes place at Prairie Moon Waldorf School, 1853 E 1600 Rd, Lawrence, KS 66044. It offers a timed 5k race that begins and ends on the school grounds and a separate fun obstacle run for younger children of under one mile.

- Under one mile fun run and obstacle course for children
The 5k course follows the gravel road in front of the school (1600 Rd) out to the Mud Creek levee trail and back. The race is officially timed but the course is not certified. Strollers are permitted; sturdy tires are recommended for the gravel sections.
Registration details from the organizer include age-based fees and shirt options: adults 18 and older pay the listed 5k fee which includes a T-shirt, youth 17 and younger have a lower registration fee with T-shirts sold separately, and the kids fun run has a separate shirt option. Each 5k registration includes automatic entry into a raffle for a Garmin Forerunner 165 Music with a black band; each additional ten dollar donation adds another raffle entry and winners must be present.
Packet pick-up is available the day before in Lawrence and the morning of the event at the school. After the runs, onsite activities include pumpkin painting, face painting, chess, other family games, food trucks, coffee and baked goods. Prairie Moon Waldorf School is a nonprofit Waldorf school serving early education and grades 1 through 8 with a nature and art based, screen free curriculum and need based tuition.
