Prairie Moon 5k Pumpkin Fun Run
The Prairie Moon 5K Pumpkin Fun Run takes place at Prairie Moon Waldorf School in Lawrence, KS on October 24, 2026. The event includes a timed 5K and a separate untimed fun run and obstacle course for younger children on the school grounds. The 5K begins and ends at the school and runs along the gravel road (1600 Rd) to the Mud Creek levee trail and back. The fun run is on the school grounds and finishes toward a central area.

Registration and fees are listed by category. Adult entries (18 and older) are listed at $35 plus fees and include a t-shirt where offered. Youth entries (17 and younger) are listed at $10 with an option to add a t-shirt for an additional fee. Fun run registration is offered with an option to add a shirt for an additional fee. Registrations completed by October 9 are eligible for a race t-shirt; shirt sizes may be limited after October 10.
Packet pick-up is available the day before at Prairie Moon Waldorf School and at Fleet Feet in downtown Lawrence, and on the morning of the event at the school. Strollers are welcome but sturdy tires are recommended for the gravel road.
Raffle prizes and donor items are part of the event; 5K registrants are entered automatically into the raffle and each additional $10 donation adds a raffle ticket. Post-run activities on the grounds include pumpkin painting, face painting, chess, games, coffee, baked goods and food trucks.
