PRA Miner Gold Rush and Fall Festival
Prospect Ridge Academy stages the PRA Miner Gold Rush and Fall Festival on October 3, 2026, at Prospect Ridge Academy in Broomfield, Colorado. The event combines timed running events with a family-oriented fall festival on the high school grass field.
Distances and options
- 5K race: loop from PRA track along the canal through the Anthem neighborhood.
- 1 Mile Fun Run: grade-based heats run on the school track.
- Fall Festival Only: activities and attractions on the high school field.
The 5K follows a looped course that starts and finishes at the PRA track, follows the canal behind the school, passes parts of the Anthem neighborhood, and circles a park southwest of the school. Medals are awarded to the top three in each division: elementary, middle school, high school, and adult age 19 and older, with separate overall medal rules for division placement. A medal ceremony takes place at the Fall Festival main stage.
The 1 Mile Fun Run is organized in heats by grade with prescribed lap counts: kindergarten and 1st grade one lap, grades 2 and 3 two laps, grades 4 and 5 four laps, and all others four laps. Fall Festival wristbands are included with the 5K and 1 Mile registrations. Registration opens in May; early-bird pricing runs through September 14, with regular and same-day registration options and tiered fees.
Proceeds benefit Prospect Ridge Academy, a public charter K-12 school with an intensified math and science focus. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
