PR Night 2026
PR Night 2026 is a chip-timed night 5K at the Terry Fox Athletic Facility in Ottawa on August 22, 2026. The event uses CS Timing for chip timing and awards a custom 25TH finisher medal.
Runners are placed into paced, seeded heats so each athlete has competitors at a similar goal pace. Heats and their target ranges are Heat 1 : 35–30 min, Heat 2 : 30–25 min, Heat 3 : 25–21 min, Heat 4 : 21–18 min, and an Elite heat for sub-18-minute performances. Prize money is available: the fastest male and fastest female each receive $150.
The finish area includes a structured Athlete Village with on-course hydration, a cold plunge booth by Ritual Recovery, RMT and chiro recovery sessions, organic sourdough bagels from Baked Better Bagels, on-site nutrition, live DJ, and Saucony’s elite racing shoe demo with the option to race in demo shoes. The event also runs raffles and giveaways with a stated prize pool.
