PPTC Cherry Tree 10 Miler and Relay : Prospect Park, Brooklyn

The PPTC Cherry Tree 10 Miler and Relay takes place on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the LeFrak Center at Lakeside in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. The event offers two race options:

  • Individual 10 Miler : three full loops of Prospect Park (10 miles).
  • 3 Person 10 Mile Relay : each runner completes one 3.33 mile loop.

Entrants receive an ear-warmer headband as a souvenir, with an option to decline the item for environmental reasons. Race day amenities include baggage check and post-race refreshments such as hot chocolate, bagels and fruit.

The course is certified by USA Track & Field (certificate NY23042DNB) and the event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field (Sanction ID 155340). There are cash prizes of $100, $50 and $25 for the top three overall finishers in the Male, Female and Non-binary categories. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in Male, Female and Non-binary age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Cash prize winners are ineligible for age group awards. Relay awards are presented to each member of the first team in several categories including All Male, All Female, All Non-binary, Mixed, Youth and Masters.

Strollers and pets are prohibited on the course. Runners have up to 2.5 hours to complete the 10 miles (a 15 minute per mile pace); scoring mats remain in place until 12:30 pm. Entries are online only; individual and relay registration deadlines and entry fee schedules apply. Pre-race bib pickup is scheduled for Friday, February 13 and Saturday, February 14, with race day pickup near the Duck Island Cafe & Bar at the LeFrak Center.
