PPTC Cherry Tree 10 Miler and Relay

The PPTC Cherry Tree 10 Miler and Relay takes place on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park, 171 East Drive, Brooklyn, NY 11225. The event offers the following race options:

  • 10 miles - Individual 10 Miler.
  • 10 miles (3-person relay) - each runner completes one 3.33-mile loop.

Course and rules

The 10-mile course is three full loops of Prospect Park. The course is USA Track & Field certified (certificate #NY23042DNB) and the event is USATF sanctioned (Sanction ID #155340). Strollers and pets are prohibited from the course. Runners have up to 2.5 hours to complete the 10 miles (15 minutes per mile). Scoring mats will remain in place until 12:30 pm.

Registration and bib pickup

Entry is charged per runner. Prices increase after November 30, 2025. Individual registration closes Saturday, February 14 at 11:59 pm. Relay team registration closes Thursday, February 12 at 11:59 pm. There is no race-day registration. Registrations can be transferred between the 10-Mile and Relay events prior to February 12. Pre-race bib pickup is scheduled Friday, February 13 (4:00 pm to 7:00 pm) and Saturday, February 14 (1:00 pm to 4:00 pm). Race day bib pickup is next to the Duck Island Cafe & Bar at the LeFrak Center at Lakeside from 8:15 am to 9:45 am. Relay team bibs are distributed in one packet; one person may pick up for the whole team.

Amenities and awards

All entrants receive an ear-warmer headband as a souvenir, with an option to decline the item. Race-day amenities include baggage check and post-race refreshments such as hot chocolate, bagels, and fruit. The 10-Mile awards include cash prizes of $100, $50, and $25 to the top three overall finishers in Male, Female, and Non-binary categories. Age group awards are given to the top three in each listed age group; cash prize winners cannot also receive age group awards.
