Event
The PPTC Cherry Tree 10 Miler and Relay is scheduled for Sunday, February 15, 2026 in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY (LeFrak Center at Lakeside). The event offers these race options:
- 10 miles (individual)
- 3-person 10 mile relay (each runner completes one ~3.33-mile loop)
All entrants receive an ear-warmer headband as a race souvenir; participants may opt out of the souvenir for environmental reasons. The course is certified by USA Track & Field (Course certificate #NY23042DNB) and the event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field (Sanction ID #155340).
Details, entry and rules
The race has a 2.5 hour time limit to complete the 10 miles. Strollers and pets are prohibited on the course. Post-race amenities include baggage check and refreshments such as hot chocolate, bagels and fruit. Cash prizes of $100, $50 and $25 are awarded to the top three overall finishers in Male, Female, and Non-binary categories; age group awards are given to the top three finishers in standard age brackets. Cash prize winners are ineligible for age group awards. Relay awards are given to each member of the first team in several categories including All Male, All Female, All Non-binary, Mixed, Youth, and Masters.
Registration deadlines and pricing tiers apply; there is no race day registration. Relay teams require each member to register and pay an individual entry fee. Relay team bibs are issued together in one packet. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
