Powhatan Village Run 4-Miler
The Powhatan Village Run was established in 1981 as a community road race. The event holds its 43rd running on September 5, 2026, and is organized as a single distance road race of 4 Miles that benefits local programs.
The start and finish are located at the Elizabeth R. Lewis (Powhatan) YMCA in Fighting Creek Park, 2269 Mann Road, Powhatan, VA 23139. Miles 1-3 run through the streets of the Village of Powhatan. Mile 4 follows the Fighting Creek Park Trail before returning to Mann Road just west of the starting line.
Registration opens May 8, 2026. Entry fees follow a tiered schedule: $20 for entries received before August 21, $25 before August 28, and $30 thereafter. T-shirts are guaranteed to runners registered by August 21, 2026 while supplies last. Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before at PR Run & Walk in Midlothian and on race day at the Powhatan YMCA.
Awards include overall top male and female, top Powhatan male and female, and the top three finishers in each age division. Age divisions for men and women start at 14 and under, then 15-19 and continue in five-year increments up to 90 and over. Proceeds benefit the Powhatan County Public Schools Cross Country and Track and Field programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
