Event details
The Powel 5K & Family Fun Day takes place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Drexel's Vidas Athletic Complex in Philadelphia. The event includes multiple running options and a Student Dash. Entry fees listed by the organizer are: 5K-Student $20, 5K-Adult $30, 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk-Student $10, 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk-Adult $20, and Student Dash $0. Registration opens January 4, 2026 for the 5K-Student event and January 8, 2026 for the other events. Organizers note a packet pickup option prior to race day (date/time/location TBD) and on-site pickup at Vidas; the organizer encourages using pre-race pickup to reduce morning lines. All proceeds will support the Powel Home and School Association (HSA) and its work for the Powel community.

Location and logistics
Place: Vidas Athletic Complex, 4300 Powelton Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19104. Transit access information provided by the organizer lists bus routes 21, 30, 31, 40, 42, 64; trolley route 10; and subway access via 40th or 46th Street stations on the MFL.
