Racing Dusk : 20 miles
Racing Dusk is a 20 miles event organized by Iron Legs Running Company near West Bragg Creek, held around the winter solstice in December. The course is made up of three loops that all start and finish at West Bragg Creek. Each loop must be run counter clockwise, and runners may choose the order in which they run the loops.
The three loops incorporate trails named Telephone Loop / Disconnect / Long Distance; Ranger Summit / Strange Brew / Boundary Ridge; and Whitetail / Braggin Rights / Merlin View, returning to the start/finish. GPX files for each loop are available in the Misc Race Info tab.
The time limit for the event is 8 hours. The last loop must be started by 2:30pm. A headlamp is required if the last loop is started after 1pm. Sunset is around 4:30pm at this time of year and weather conditions can vary from very cold with fresh snow to mild and dry.
Race package pickup is on race morning starting at 7:30am. Entry fees were listed as $105 plus GST and registration fee, or $120 after 19 Oct, 2025. Registration and volunteer signup are noted as closed. The cancellation policy offers a 50% refund if canceled before Oct 20th, 2025; refunds for cancellation by the organizer depend on timing and expenses.
