Racing Dusk : Iron Legs Running Company
Racing Dusk is a winter trail race organised by Iron Legs Running Company and held on 19 December 2026 near West Bragg Creek. The event is a single distance of 20 miles run as three separate loops that all start and finish at the West Bragg Creek staging area. Each loop must be run counter clockwise, and runners may choose the order in which they complete the three loops.
The event has an overall time limit of 8 hours. Because it takes place close to the winter solstice, conditions can vary from mild and dry to cold with fresh snow, and daylight is limited; these factors affect pacing and equipment choices.
Mandatory gear must be carried at all times and includes mitts or gloves, a race bib, a minimum of 1 litre of water, a toque, an additional warm layer, and a space blanket or bivy bag. A headlamp is required for late starts of the final loop. GPX files for each loop are provided in the Misc Race Info tab.
Entry fees listed for the event were $105 plus GST and registration fee, increasing to $120 after 19 October 2025; registering by 20 October 2025 was required to guarantee a shirt size. The organiser offered a 50% refund for cancellations made prior to 20 October 2025; refunds after that or for event cancellation are handled based on timing and expenses.
