Pound the Pavement for Peter - Family Fun Run
The Pound the Pavement for Peter Family Fun Run is a community 5K event scheduled for March 28, 2026 in Atlanta, Georgia. The course runs around the Brookhaven neighborhood with the venue listed as Capital City Country Club - Brookhaven, Atlanta 30319.
The event benefits children with disabilities and medical fragilities. It began in 2009 in honor of a child who lived with a peroxisomal disorder and died at age three. Proceeds for this year are designated to support three areas: disease research, medical care and inclusion in education for affected children and their families.
The event offers both an in person Individual Participant 5K run or walk and a Virtual Participant option. Packet pick up is scheduled the day before at the Capital City Club Brookhaven and on race day. Race organizers also provide RaceJoy for live phone tracking, GPS progress alerts and remote spectator features. Sponsorship opportunities are available at multiple levels, with packages ranging from smaller contributions up to presenting sponsor levels in excess of $10,000.
