Possum Trot 10K Race and Wildlife Run

The 48th Annual Possum Trot 10K and Fun Run is a long-standing athletic event that serves as a Peachtree Road Race Qualifier. Participants can choose between in-person and virtual registration options for the various distances offered:

  • 10 km
  • 1 mile Fun Run

The in-person event takes place at the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell. The course is open to strollers, though pets are not permitted on the property or the race course, with the exception of service animals. Registered participants for the in-person event receive free admission to the nature center for the entire day.

Registration for the 10 km distance includes a race t-shirt and a die-cast finisher medal for in-person runners. Placement pins are awarded to the top overall male and female finishers, top masters (40 and over), and the top three finishers in various age group brackets. For the 1 mile Fun Run, chip timing is not provided. Virtual and "Ghost Runner" participants will have their t-shirts delivered by mail.

Proceeds from the event support environmental education programs centered on the Chattahoochee River and its watershed, as well as wildlife rehabilitation efforts at the center. Limited parking is available on-site, with additional free parking provided at a nearby school approximately one mile from the center. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
