Port City Turkey Trot 5k & 10k : Port City Brewing, Alexandria
This event is a family friendly pre-Thanksgiving run that starts and ends near Port City Brewing in Alexandria, Virginia. The course follows Holmes Run and includes some views of the water. The route is mostly flat and paved with a short light-gravel section on the out-and-back; the 10k completes the out-and-back twice.

Points from the races count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, and also toward the Sippin Series. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend on race day. The event supports Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic.
Participant amenities include chip timing, a technical (Dri-fit) event shirt, a finisher medal, and one glass of beer from Port City Brewing. Water stations are provided: five along the 10k at approximately miles 1, 2.1, 3.1, 4.1, and 5.2; two along the 5k at approximately miles 1 and 2.1. Gatorade is available at some stations. Restrooms are located in Port City Brewing.
Packet pickup is available at the event; organizers recommend arriving about 90 minutes before the race to check in. Race day registration is available, with limited shirt size availability for late registrants. Live results are posted to Athlinks and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race.
Awards are presented to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in standard age groups; overall top three are not eligible for age-group awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
