Event overview
The Bunnyman Turkey Trot 5k & 10k takes place on November 21 at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA. Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Sippin Series. There is a virtual race option. Distances offered:
- 5k: out-and-back once, paved with limited hills.
- 10k: two laps of the 5k course, paved with limited hills.
Course and logistics
Runners receive one glass of beer or wine from Bunnyman Brewing, a finisher medal, a technical (Dri-FIT) event shirt, and chip timing. Water stations are located at approximately mile markers 0.5, 1.25, 1.85, and 2.6 on the 5k; the 10k has eight stations at 0.5, 1.25, 1.85, 2.6, 3.6, 4.35, 4.95, and 5.7. Registration fees listed are $35 for the 5k and $50 for the 10k until November 15 (prices increase after that and rise by $5 on race morning). T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before November 16; later shirts are first-come first-served. Packet pickup is available at the event; race day registration is offered but shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed. Live results will be posted and a QR code will be available at the race; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the event. Awards include top 3 men and women overall and 1st and 2nd in standard age groups. The event operates in all weather unless officials cancel or postpone.
