Port Austin Run and Walk
The Port Austin Run and Walk takes place on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Gallup Park in Port Austin, Michigan. The event offers multiple distances so participants can choose the option that fits them.

- 2 Mile Run
- 2 Mile Walk
The 8K course follows a scenic route on village and rural roads, approximately half paved and half gravel. The 2 mile run and walk use paved village streets. Water stations are provided along the courses. The 8K run starts in the opposite direction from the 2 mile races. Participants in the 2 mile walk must walk the entire course from start to finish.
Facilities include portable restrooms at the park and post-race refreshments at the pavilion. Results are professionally timed and posted after the event. Awards include trophies for the overall male and female winners and trophies or awards for the top three finishers in each age group. Age groups run from 10 and under up to 90 and over in standard decade bands.
Proceeds from the event will be given to The Blue Star Mothers Thumb Chapter 178 and The VFW Post 116, and the event is dedicated in memory of a fallen service member. Shirts are not guaranteed after July 11, 2026; a no shirt option reduces the fee by five dollars. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
