Thumb Coast Ultra & Relay : April 24, 2027
Thumb Coast Ultra & Relay is a spring ultramarathon and relay event in Michigan's Thumb region centered on Caseville. The 50 Mile and relay courses run point to point from Harbor Beach to Caseville. The 50K is an out and back that starts and finishes in Caseville.
The route follows mostly dirt and unimproved rural roads. Elevation gain is listed at about 500 feet for the 50 Mile and about 300 feet for the 50K. Aid stations are provided along the course and the route is marked for participants.

Ruck divisions require a weighted ruck sack or weight plate carrier and participants are weighed before the race. Ruckers under 150 lbs must carry 20 lbs; ruckers over 150 lbs must carry 30 lbs. The 50 Mile ruck begins before sunrise and that category is not eligible for overall or age group awards; it remains eligible for the event's Beat the Sun prize. A special prize is awarded to 50 Mile finishers who complete the course in daylight at the Caseville finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
