Event overview
The Port A Beach Dash is scheduled for May 23, 2026 in Port Aransas, Texas. The 5K course starts and finishes at the Horace Caldwell Pier on the beach. Proceeds benefit the Youth Development Foundation of Port Aransas, a 501(c)(3) that provides educational and enrichment opportunities for students in Port Aransas ISD.

Registration and logistics
Regular registration fee is $55; day-of registration fee is $65. Packet pickup is available Friday, May 22, 4:00-8:00 PM at Mark Grosse Real Estate, 155 W. Cotter, Port Aransas, or on race day at Horace Caldwell Pier. Day-of registration begins at 6:45 AM. Participants who register by May 3, 2026 are guaranteed an event t-shirt and size; t-shirts and specific sizes cannot be guaranteed for later registrations. A course map is provided by the organizers.
Timing and awards
The event is chip timed. Age-group awards will be presented to the top three males and top three females in the following categories: 8 & under; 9-11; 12-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
