About the race
Flynn's Beach Run is a beachside race in Port Aransas that will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, with start and finish at Horace Caldwell Pier. The event includes in-person and virtual options and features chip timing and age group awards.
Race options include:
- 5K
- 10K
- Family Walk/Run 1 mile
- Virtual 5K option with T shirt mailed to registrants
The 5K and 10K are scored by gender and the following age groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23 at the Port Aransas Welcome Center; day of registration and packet pick up are available on Saturday, Oct. 24. The event will offer compostable water cups and organizers note support for sustainability; participants are encouraged to use reusable water bottles.
Registration pricing before race day is listed as follows: 5K $25, 10K $30, youth 17 and under $20, and Family Walk/Run (1 mile) $20. Late registration or day of entry carries an additional $10 fee. The virtual 5K allows participants to run from any location, receive a mailed T shirt, and submit results; the virtual option supports Port Aransas High School runners and sustainability efforts.
