Flynn's Beach Run

Flynn's Beach Run is a beachside road and sand race held in Port Aransas. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, with the start and finish located at Horace Caldwell Pier. The event offers in-person race distances and a virtual option.

The event program lists the following in-person distances:

• 5k
• 10k
• Family Walk/Run (1 mile)

A virtual 5k option is offered for participants who cannot attend in person; virtual entrants receive a t-shirt by mail and may post results to compare with in-person participants. The race is chip timed and age group awards are presented. In-person race results are divided by gender and age groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-79, and 80+.

Packet pickup is available the day before at the Port Aransas Welcome Center, and day-of registration and packet pickup occur on race day. The event notes sustainability measures, including the availability of compostable water cups and a suggestion that participants bring their own water bottles. The virtual option also notes support for Port Aransas High School runners and local sustainability efforts.
