Popsicle 5K/10K/Half - Sioux Falls
The Popsicle 5K/10K/Half Marathon takes place at Elmwood Park in Sioux Falls on August 8, 2026. The event offers three distance options and a virtual race alternative. Each on-site finisher receives an ice-cold popsicle and a custom Popsicle-themed finisher medal. Awards are given in each distance to the top three male and female finishers in standard five-year age groups beginning with 10 & Under.

Registration is available in phases. Regular registration ends 08/01; late registration ends 08/07; race day registration is available. Prices listed include: Regular 5K $40, 10K $45, Half Marathon $60; Virtual $40. Late and race day pricing increases are published; a no-shirt option reduces the fee by $5. Participants registered by 07/29 (except no-shirt entries) are guaranteed race swag in their size; afterwards swag is while supplies last. Participants who do not show forfeit swag.
Course information is pending. Self-serve water stations will be placed approximately every 1.5 miles; runners who prefer not to stop are advised to carry personal hydration. Participants must finish at a pace no slower than 16 minutes per mile. All registrations are final; there are no refunds, deferments, or transfers. The event is rain or shine; in extreme weather it may be canceled for safety with no refunds. In a federal or state health emergency the event will convert to 100% virtual and shirts will be shipped.
