Popsicle 5K/10K/Half Marathon - Sioux Falls
The Popsicle 5K/10K/Half Marathon is a summer running event held at Elmwood Park in Sioux Falls, SD on August 8, 2026. The event offers in-person distance options and a virtual race for those who cannot attend on site.

Finishers receive an ice-cold popsicle at the finish line and a custom Popsicle-themed finisher medal. Awards are presented for the top three male and top three female finishers in standard five-year age groups, beginning with 10 & Under.
Course support includes self-serve water stations placed at approximately every 1.5 miles. Participants are required to maintain a minimum finish pace of 16 minutes per mile. The event is planned to take place rain or shine; in cases of extreme weather the organizers may cancel the event for safety. All registrations are final with no refunds, deferments, or transfers. Participants who do not show forfeit any race swag. If public health circumstances require it, the event may run 100% virtually and shirts will be shipped to participants.
A virtual option allows participants to complete their chosen distance remotely, submit results online, and be eligible for awards listed in the event information. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
