Popsicle Running Event
The Popsicle 5K/10K/Half is a summer running event held at Cottonwood Creek Park in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The event categories include three primary distances for participants to choose from:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
Participants have the option to register for these distances with or without a commemorative shirt. For those unable to attend the physical location, virtual versions of all three distances are available, where participants can run or walk at their preferred location and receive a shirt by mail.
The event features a summer theme centered around cold treats. After completing their respective courses, participants receive a cold popsicle and a themed finisher medal. The race recognizes performance across all three distances, with awards presented to the top three male and female finishers in five-year age groups, starting from the 10 and under category.
