Poppy Scotland Half Marathon
The Poppy Scotland Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile coastal race on paved surfaces that starts and finishes at Dunoon Pier in Dunoon, Argyll and Bute. The course follows the West Bay of Dunoon, passes through the village of Innellan and reaches a turn point near Toward Lighthouse. The route is described as flat and runs mostly along the shoreline.
The event is organised by Dunoon Community Council and takes place in person in the town of Dunoon. On the day there is a town market in the Argyll Gardens and live music by local acts. Paid parking is available in the town.
Entry conditions note that under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The organiser states that 100 percent of the ticket price is donated to Poppy Scotland to support the Armed Forces community. The published refund policy is no refunds.
