Poppy Scotland Half Marathon
The Poppy Scotland Half Marathon takes place on 19 September 2026 and is organised by Dunoon Community Council in collaboration with the Dunoon Poppy Appeal. The route runs between Dunoon Pier and Toward lighthouse.
The organisers aim to raise £10,000 for Poppy Scotland. Estimated event costs are in excess of £4,000 and include insurance, medals and t shirts for runners, council fees, and equipment hire. A town market in Argyll Gardens is planned with live entertainment in the afternoon.
The event requires a substantial number of volunteers to help it run safely and smoothly. Local residents and businesses are being asked to provide support.
