About the race
The Ardgartan Trail Race is a challenging 21-mile foot race held at Ardgartan Forest Park in Arrochar, Scotland. The course is approximately 90% off-road, featuring a loop around the Ardgartan Peninsula with a mix of tarmac, forestry trails, and an open hill section leading to Lochgoilhead. Runners face around 3,500 feet of elevation, including climbs to the Rest and Be Thankful and a final downhill finish.
The route offers scenic hills and numerous waterfalls. Due to winter conditions, mandatory safety kit is required, and water stations are provided at 7 and 13 miles.
