Ardgartan Trail Race is scheduled for 07 Feb 2026 at Ardgartan Forest Park, Ardgartan, Arrochar, G83 7AR. The distance is 21 (ish) miles with approximately 3,500 ft of elevation. The route is about 90% off road and follows a loop of the Ardgartan Peninsula with some tarmac, forestry trails and an open hill section across to Lochgoilhead, then a climb to the Rest And Be Thankful and a final downhill to the finish. The route may be changed if forestry works or storm damage require it. There are two water stations at about 7 miles and 13 miles. Entry price shown is £43 (discount) / £45 (standard). Logistics and rules
Parking at Ardgartan Car Park is limited and runners are asked to car share where possible; additional parking information will be provided in the race briefing or on the event Facebook page. Mandatory kit will be specified in the pre-race briefing sent about three weeks before the event and will include items such as a full-size foil blanket, a working mobile phone with the race control number, trail food, means to carry water and a small first aid kit for running repairs. Recommended items include waterproofs, hat and gloves and extra layers. Entry notes state no specific qualification requirement but entrants must be confident they can complete the distance and elevation within the cut-off. Refunds: 30-day cooling-off with a £15 administration fee, after 30 days up to 12 weeks a 50% refund, and 0% refund within 0-12 weeks; deferrals are not offered except for travel restrictions or lockdown. Race rules include photo ID at registration, no transfer of place, no muling, no walking poles, no support runners or bikes, no dogs, no use of NSAIDs during the race, and adherence to marshal and medical instructions.
