Ardgartan Trail Race is scheduled for 7 February 2026 at Ardgartan Forest Park, Arrochar (G83 7AR). The event is a roughly 21 (ish) Miles foot race with approximately 3,500ft of elevation. Course, logistics and kit
The route is about 90% off road and follows a loop of the Ardgartan Peninsula. Surfaces include some tarmac, forestry trails and an open hill section across to Lochgoilhead, then a climb back up to the Rest And Be Thankful and a final downhill to the finish. The route passes multiple waterfalls. Route changes may be made due to forestry works or winter storm damage.
There are two water stations at about miles 7 and 13, provided primarily for safety given the time of year and possible poor weather. Parking at Ardgartan Car Park is limited; car sharing is encouraged and additional parking information will be provided in pre-race communications or on the event Facebook page.
Runners must carry mandatory kit as specified by the organiser. Required items include a full-size foil blanket, a working mobile phone with the race control number, trail food, means to carry water, and a small first aid kit.
