Ardgartan Trail Race 2027
Ardgartan Trail Race is a roughly 21 mileish foot race on 06 Feb 2027 at Ardgartan Forest Park, Ardgartan, Arrochar G83 7AR. The route is about 90% off road and follows a loop of the Ardgartan Peninsula, using some tarmac, forestry trails and an open hill section.
The course runs across to Lochgoilhead, then climbs back up to the Rest And Be Thankfull before a final downhill to the finish. The route includes hills and multiple waterfalls along the way. Organisers note that route changes may be required if there is storm damage in the forest over winter.
There are two water stations, located at approximately 7 miles and 13 miles, provided mainly for safety given the time of year and possible poor weather. Parking at Ardgartan Car Park is limited and runners are asked to car share where possible; information on additional parking will follow. Total places are listed as 180 and the event status is open.
Runners must carry mandatory kit due to the time of year; a race briefing with required items will be sent about three weeks before the event and will include a small first aid kit for running repairs. A race t shirt is available as an optional extra. The event will be run under an Association of Running Clubs Licence and any covid related rules in force on race day will be applied.
