Ponderosa Park Run
This is the 49th annual Ponderosa Park Run, organized by Payette Lakes Ski Club and held inside Ponderosa State Park near McCall, ID. Race headquarters are staged at the Visitor Center Pavilion inside the park. Each vehicle will need a $5 day pass or an Idaho State Parks parking pass to enter.
Three distances are offered:
- 1 Mile Kids Run
- 5 Mile Run/Walk
- 7 Mile Run/Walk
All courses follow a mixed route of paved and dirt roads and single track trail. The 5 Mile and 7 Mile courses include two aid stations stocked with water and minimal medical supplies; volunteers at aid stations have direct communication with Race Headquarters. Runners are required to check in at each aid station as they pass through.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each race. Packet pick up takes place on the Friday before the event at Gravity Sports, 200 Jacob Street, McCall, ID, with a scheduled drop in window in the late afternoon. If participants cannot attend packet pick up, they must check in at Race Headquarters on race day at least 30 minutes before their race.
Volunteer roles include food tent staff, course setup, crossing guards, and aid station attendants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
