Ponderosa Park Run
The event is the 49th Annual Ponderosa Park Run held at Ponderosa State Park in McCall, ID. Race headquarters are located at the Visitor Center pavilion inside the park. All participants must check in at Race Headquarters on race day. Each vehicle requires a $5 day pass or a State Parks parking pass to enter the park.
Three race distances are offered:
- Kids Mile
- 5 Mile Run/Walk
- 7 Mile Run/Walk
All courses combine paved or dirt roads and single-track trail. The 5 mile and 7 mile courses include two aid stations stocked with water and basic medical supplies; volunteers at aid stations have direct communication with Race Headquarters and participants must check in at each station as they pass through. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers for each race.
Packet pick up is scheduled for Friday, June 12 at Gravity Sports, now located at 200 Jacob Street, McCall. Runners attending packet pick up receive a race bib, safety pins, a course map, and race swag. Registration closes on Thursday, June 11 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time.
Volunteers are requested for roles including food tents, course setup, crossing guards, and aid station attendants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
