David Lerner Associates Long Island Police Appreciation Run 5K
David Lerner Associates Long Island Police Appreciation Run is a community running event held in June at Eisenhower Park Field 2. The program features a main 5 kilometer race and a free quarter mile kids fun run for young participants.

All entrants receive a classic commemorative T-shirt. Bib pickup on race day is at the Eisenhower Park Field House between Parking Field 1 and Parking Field 2, with a self-lookup area for bib numbers.
Awards are presented for the live race only, including top male overall, a memorial award to the top female overall, top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups from 14 and under through 90 plus, and top wheelchair finisher. A separate Law Enforcement Division recognizes the top three male and female finishers and the top three masters. There is no duplication of awards; law enforcement entrants who do not receive a Law Enforcement Division award may still earn age group awards.
A special combined award recognizes the fastest open and masters male and female based on total time across this event and the D.C. Raymond Downey Forever Running 5K held later in June.
Proceeds support the Long Island Police Crisis Foundation, with the first one thousand dollars directed to the Nassau Police Running Club scholarship fund. Live online results and same-day finish line photos are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
