Event overview
The POG 5 Mile Run/Walk is scheduled for July 25, 2026 in Morristown, Indiana. The event starts and finishes at Morristown High School, 215 W. Main St., Morristown, IN 46161. The listed entry fee is $25, with a price increase after July 19, 2026.
Course and logistics
The course is a flat out-and-back route of 5 miles, entirely on pavement. The route travels out to the Morristown Cemetery, includes a small loop inside the cemetery, and returns into town. The course will be closed to traffic during the event and includes three water stops along the route.
Post-race, awards and beneficiaries
A local restaurant sponsor provides beer, wings, cookies and fruit in an outdoor garden dining area after the event. Cash awards are offered for the top three overall finishers and for 1st to 3rd in age groups. Trophies are awarded for competitors 19 and under. Proceeds benefit the Morristown girls and boys cross country and track teams and a memorial scholarship. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
