Rudolph Run 5K
The Rudolph Run 5K is a community sports event held on Christmas Eve in Shelbyville, Indiana. The race takes place at the Intelliplex Conference Center and follows a course consisting of flat, paved trails. Participants can choose between running or walking the specified distance.
The event features several technical and thematic elements:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Free Kids run
The race utilizes chip timing to track participant performance. To enhance the winter atmosphere, a snow machine is used on-site during the event. Participants have access to a warm indoor facility located near the start and finish lines, which provides space for registration and access to restrooms.
Recognitions are awarded based on performance in the 5K category. The top 20 male and top 20 female finishers overall receive reindeer trophies. Additionally, trophies are provided for those placing first through third within their specific age groups. All individuals who complete the course receive a reindeer finisher medal.
This event serves as a fundraiser for Pantry Pals, a food bank serving the Shelby County area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
