Holiday Lights @ the Rails 5K & Kids Dash
The event is scheduled for December 17, 2026 at Depot Street Park in Greenfield, Indiana. It is an evening holiday lights run and walk that follows the Pennsy Trail through Depot Street Park and Brandywine Park, looping between the two parks.
Two event options are offered:
- 5K
- Kids Dash (80 yards)
The Kids Dash is led by Buddy the Elf and takes place before the 5K. Registration windows and fees are provided for each event: the 5K registration opens July 30, 2026 and closes September 7, 2026 with a fee of $29.99; the Kids Dash registration opens August 5, 2026 and closes September 7, 2026 with a fee of $14.99.
The 5K registration includes a chipped timed result, a finisher's medal, a long sleeve shirt, hot chocolate, Christmas cookies, Christmas music, and free photos. Kids Dash registration includes a finisher's medal, hot chocolate, Christmas cookies, Christmas music, and free photos; a long sleeve shirt is available for the Kids Dash as an optional purchase.
Race day packet pickup is available at Depot Street Park and there are post-race festivities on site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
