Event
The Philadelphia Marathon Weekend is a multi-race event held in Philadelphia. The 2026 weekend is scheduled for November 20-22, 2026. The event attracts over 30,000 athletes and is supported by the Philadelphia City Fund. The weekend has been held since 1994 and is now in its 32nd year.
Races and courses
Races on the weekend include:
- Philadelphia Marathon
- Dietz & Watson Philadelphia Half Marathon : 13.1 miles
- Rothman Orthopaedics 8K : 4.97 miles
- Nemours Children’s Health Philadelphia Kid’s Run : short distance, non-competitive at Eakins Oval
All courses are USATF certified and the Philadelphia Marathon is designated as a Boston qualifier event. Course routes pass Fairmount Park, the Schuylkill River, University City, Manayunk, the historic district, and finish near the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps. The Rothman Orthopaedics 8K follows the banks of the Schuylkill River and Kelly Drive. The half marathon starts along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in the Museum District and passes Old City, Center City, and Fairmount Park.
Entry and event notes
Registration for 2026 is open. The 2025 marathon and half were sold out; a waitlist was available that required a credit card to hold a place but did not charge until a slot opened.
