Pleasanton Run for Education
The Pleasanton Run for Education is a community event scheduled for April 19, 2026. Registration opens on January 20. This is the 14th annual edition of the event.
The run offers multiple distance options:
- A 2 Mile walk or run
- A 5K (3.1 mile) walk or run
- A 10K (6.2 mile) run
- A Kids' Challenge, a 1/4 mile fun run for children aged 3 to 10
The 2 Mile and 5K events are noted as walker-friendly and stroller-friendly. The 10K run is also stroller-friendly and has a course completion time limit of 1 hour and 45 minutes. The Kids' Challenge is not timed, and no places are kept.
The event takes place at Pleasanton Middle School in Pleasanton, California. There is a "Snooze for the Schools" registration category for those who wish to support the event but cannot attend on race day. Pleasanton Unified School District (PUSD) employees are eligible for reduced-rate entries.
Packet pick-up is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, at Pleasanton Middle School. Race-day packet pick-up is also available near the start/finish area. Parking is not allowed at Pleasanton Middle School or Hearst Elementary; participants are advised to use downtown parking options and arrive early.
General race entry for the 2 Mile, 5K, and 10K includes a short-sleeve performance t-shirt, a commemorative bib, a finisher medal, and post-race refreshments. The 5K and 10K are chip-timed, with awards for age groups and overall winners. The 2 Mile is not timed, and no awards are presented. Participants can opt out of the t-shirt for a discount or pay to upgrade to a technical fabric shirt.
Dogs are not permitted on the premises, with an exception for service dogs. All participants on the course must be registered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
