Event overview
The Pleasanton Run for Education takes place on April 19, 2026 in Pleasanton, California. The 14th annual event offers multiple distances:
- 1/4 mile Kids' Challenge (ages 3 to 10)
- 2 Mile
- 5K (3.1 miles) Run or Walk
- 10K (6.2 miles) Run
The Kids' Challenge is a fun run with no times or places kept. The 2 Mile and 5K are stroller and walker-friendly. The 10K is designated as a run and has a 1 hour 45 minute course cut-off.
Race entries and awards
Race entry for the 2 Mile, 5K, and 10K includes a short sleeve performance blend t-shirt, commemorative bib, finisher medal, and post-race refreshments. Race timing is provided for the 5K and 10K only. Age group awards are offered for the 5K and 10K with specified age divisions; top three finishers per gender (male, female, nonbinary) in each age division receive medals. Age group awards use net time; overall winners are recognized by gun time. The 2 Mile is not timed and has no awards.
The Kids' Challenge entry includes a short sleeve t-shirt, bib, finisher medal, and post-race refreshments.
Logistics
Location for the event is Pleasanton Middle School, Pleasanton, CA 94566. Packet pick up is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 at Pleasanton Middle School and also on race morning near the start/finish; ID is not required and one person may pick up packets for others. PUSD employees are eligible for a reduced registration rate and must show a PUSD ID badge at packet pick up to receive their bib and t-shirt. All entries are non refundable.
