Playtri Fort Worth Triathlon & Run-Bike-Run takes place at Marine Creek Public Boat Ramp in Fort Worth, Texas. The event offers race options for triathletes and duathletes and is sanctioned by USA Triathlon; USAT rules and one-day licenses apply when required.
Distances offered
- Sprint Triathlon: 500-meter swim, 12.5 mile bike, 5K run.
- Olympic Triathlon: 1500 meter swim, 25 mile bike, 10K run.
- Run-Bike-Run (duathlon): 1 mile run, 12.5 mile bike, 5K run.
The swim takes place in a man-made lake; water temperature is measured on race morning and wetsuit use follows USA Triathlon rules. Swimmers line up in corrals based on predicted swim time. The event is chip timed; participants must wear the timing chip on the ankle and keep it on for all three disciplines. Body marking is required prior to entering the transition area. Only participants and event staff are allowed in transition.
Eligibility requires a minimum age of 13. Relay teams of two or three share one race number and one timing chip; each relay member must have USAT membership or a one-day license. All finishers receive a finisher medal. Packet pickup requires photo ID; third-party pickup is permitted with proper ID and written authorization per packet pickup rules.
