Plains Day 5K and Kids Mile (Skills USA)
The Plains Day running events take place on 06/06/2026 in Plains, Montana, with the course starting and finishing at the Plains VFW, 201 W Lynch Street. The event includes a community 5K loop and a separate kids 1-mile run that both begin and end at the VFW.

Pre-registration is available from 04/06/2026 until 05/16/2026. Published entry fees are $15.00 for the 5K and $10.00 for the kids 1-mile. Race-day registration will be offered at the starting line and accepts cash or check. Packet pickup will be handled at the starting line on race day. A race T-shirt is optional for an additional $10.
Proceeds from the event will support the local SkillsUSA junior high team that qualified at the state level for the national competition; the Plains School District is not funding that trip. Organizers will assist the team in traveling to the national event in Atlanta. Current PHS athletes who help with the race receive free entry. Breakfast will be available at the VFW after the events.
