11 Miles to Paradise
This is a point-to-point trail race of approximately 10.6 miles through Lolo National Forest. The course follows rolling single-track trail alongside the Clark Fork River, beginning on an old two-track forest service road for about one mile before narrowing to single-track. The trail weaves and contours along small drainages and hillsides; the second half contains rolling hills and the course has an overall net elevation loss. The finish is at the Ferry Landing fishing access site on State Route 135, roughly seven miles west of Quinn’s Hot Springs.
Race services include chip timing, race photos, a custom drop bag transported from the start to the finish, a halfway aid station with water, gels, electrolyte drink and snacks, and homemade cookies and snacks at the finish. Registration items include an 11 Miles to Paradise shirt and a finishers award. The event is capped at 750 participants and is held on Lolo National Forest lands with permitting through the Superior Ranger District.
Post-race provisions are based at Quinn’s Hot Springs Resort and include post-race food, drinks and access to the resort pools via an optional pool pass. Optional add-ons include a post-race meal, a Missoula bus shuttle to and from the race area, and a custom Nomadix towel with quick-dry and sand-resistant properties. A waitlist is maintained when the field fills. Volunteer roles are available; volunteers receive a gift card, a race shirt and post-race lunch and soak.
