The early section includes fields and mildly technical trails, followed by a short road section and the start of the main circuit. The course passes Silver Crag and descends to Silver Bay, then reaches a mid-way feed and water station (CP2). The route continues into Boredale, uses a short tarmac road, and climbs to Boredale Hause (CP4) before a fast, semi-technical descent that returns runners past CP1/CP5 toward the finish at the events centre.
