Course and race services

The route is a semi-technical trail of 15 km with about 680 m of ascent around the base of Place Fell on the shores of Ullswater. The course is marked and uses trails, fields and a short tarmac road section. The route is run anti-clockwise and passes Silver Crag, Silver Bay and Boredale Hause. There are manned checkpoints (CP1, CP2, CP4, CP5) and an aid station mid-way. The organisers provide a recycled paper mache wild flower seed bomb medal and a vegan salty soup at the finish. The course description notes a fast start over fields, technical trail sections, a steep rise to Boredale Hause and a fast semi-technical descent back toward the finish. The event takes place within a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
