Pittsford Firecracker 5&10K Road Run
The event offers multiple running and walking distances around the village of Pittsford, Michigan. Races start and finish at the Pittsford Elementary School playground and run on partially shaded paved and dirt roads around the village perimeter.
Distances include:
- 5K run starting and ending at the school playground.
- 5K walk starting and ending at the school playground; this is a competitive walk category and running is not allowed for medal eligibility.
- 10K run/walk on paved and dirt roads around the village.
- Free kids run held after the main events.
A water station is located at 1.5 miles on the 5K course. Fresh fruit and water are provided for all participants at the finish. The event awards overall male and female trophies and gives three medals to top finishers in each age and gender division across 30 age and gender groups. Door prizes are also offered. Proceeds benefit the Pittsford High School cross country and track programs. The 10K is in its ninth year and the event is a member of the Tri-County Race series.
