Pittsburgh Melanoma Foundation 5k - June 13, 2026
The Pittsburgh Melanoma Foundation 5k is an annual fundraising run/walk scheduled for June 13, 2026. The event will be held in person on Corrigan Drive in South Park and will also offer a virtual participation option for people across the United States.
The Pittsburgh Melanoma Foundation is a Pittsburgh-based 501(c)(3) organization focused on melanoma awareness through prevention and early detection. The foundation is volunteer run and reports that since 2012 it has donated $570,000 to melanoma research and awareness programs in the Pittsburgh area. Proceeds from the 2026 fundraisers will benefit Allegheny Health Network.
Registration for the in-person 5k requires advance sign-up; race day registration will not be offered to ensure materials are available for registered participants. The registration fee includes a moisture-wicking t-shirt, a bib number, and a timing chip.
The event includes free angel and survivor signs along the course; these signs may be taken home after the 5k. Requests for printed angel or survivor signs must be submitted by May 10 to allow time for printing. Past editions have included both in-person and virtual formats, with past virtual events drawing participants from many states and recent in-person participation exceeding 1,800 runners and walkers.
