Event overview
Pitsford Water Trail Races take place on 1 March 2026 at Brixworth Country Park, Northampton Road, Brixworth NN6 9DG. The event offers fully marked and marshaled trail races over the following distances:
- 10k
- Half Marathon
Both routes use trails and tracks around Pitsford Water. The half marathon route passes through the villages of Holcot, Hannington, Walgrave, Old, and Scaldwell. The 10k follows trails above Pitsford Water, then descends over the causeway and returns along the track beside the water. The half marathon includes a number of field stiles to negotiate.
Practical information
Minimum age on race day is 16 for the 10k and 17 for the half marathon. The cut-off time for both races is 4 hours. Running with dogs is not permitted because the routes use footpaths across farmland. Entries and transfer of entries close seven days before the event. Parking is available at Brixworth Country Park; parking fees apply.
Race Harborough provides professional first aid at the start and finish with access to the course. Hydration points are provided as follows: half marathon water stations at miles 3 (Holcot), 6.5 (Walgrave) and 9.5 (Scaldwell); 10k water station at mile 3 (Holcot). Water is also available at the finish.
Trail shoes or shoes with grip are recommended. Mandatory items include a fully charged mobile phone and a personal cup, as the races are cupless. Bone-conduction headphones are allowed; in-ear headphones are not. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race and all finishers receive a race medal.
