Pitsford Water Trail Races (1 March 2026)
Pitsford Water Trail Races are fully marked and marshaled trail races held at Brixworth Country Park, Northampton Road, Brixworth NN6 9DG. The event offers two distances:
- 10k
- Half Marathon
Entries are priced at £25 for the 10k and £30 for the half marathon. Minimum age on race day is 16 for the 10k and 17 for the half marathon. The race cut off time is 4 hours. Entries and transfer of entries close 7 days before the event. Running with dogs is not permitted. There is parking at Brixworth Country Park; parking fees apply.
Course, support and kit
Both routes leave Brixworth Country Park, cross the dam and follow trails above Pitsford Water towards the village of Holcot. The 10k then heads downhill and over the causeway to the track alongside Pitsford Water back to the park. The half marathon continues through Holcot, then to Hannington, Walgrave, Old and Scaldwell, before rejoining the track alongside Pitsford Water for the final mile. The half route includes a number of stiles between fields. GPX files for both routes are available.
Professional first aid will be available with course access. Water stations are provided at mile 3 on the 10k, and at miles 3, 6.5 and 9.5 on the half marathon; water is also available at the finish. No in-ear headphones are allowed; bone-conduction headphones are permitted. Mandatory items include a fully charged mobile phone and a personal cup. Trail shoes or shoes with grip are advisable. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers and all finishers receive a medal. The event supports local foodbanks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
