Pitsford Water Trail Races
Pitsford Water Trail Races are organised by Race Harborough and take place around Pitsford Water with Race HQ at Brixworth Country Park. The event features fully marked and marshaled trail courses that make use of local trails, tracks and the dam above Pitsford Water.
Two distances are offered:
- 10k
- Half Marathon
Both routes leave Brixworth Country Park and follow trails above Pitsford Water. The 10k returns via the causeway and the track alongside the reservoir. The Half Marathon route passes through the villages of Holcot, Hannington, Walgrave, Old and Scaldwell and includes a number of stiles between fields. GPX route files are provided before the event.
Entries are open and are priced at £25 for the 10k and £30 for the Half Marathon. Minimum age on race day is 16 for the 10k and 17 for the Half Marathon. The race cut off time is four hours for both distances. Entries and transfer of entries close seven days before the event.
On course support includes professional first aid at start and finish and volunteers providing water stations: three on the Half Marathon and one on the 10k, with water also at the finish. The event is cupless so runners must bring their own cup. Trail shoes are advised and some mandatory and recommended kit is suggested depending on conditions.
Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race and all finishers receive a race medal. Free digital race photos are provided after the event. Charity support for 2027 focuses on local foodbanks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
