Pitsford Water Trail Races
The event on Sunday 7 March 2027 offers fully marked and marshaled trail races from Brixworth Country Park, on trails and tracks around Pitsford Water. The programme includes two distances:
- 10k
- Half Marathon
Both routes leave Brixworth Country Park and follow trails above Pitsford Water. The 10k drops downhill and crosses the causeway to run alongside the water back to the park. The half marathon also passes through the villages of Holcot, Hannington, Walgrave, Old and Scaldwell and includes several stiles between fields. Trail shoes or shoes with grip are advisable.
On-course support includes professional first aid at the start and finish and access to runners on the course. Water stations are provided: one on the 10k and three on the half marathon (approximate miles 3, 6.5 and 9.5), with water also at the finish. The race is cupless so participants must bring their own cup. No dogs are permitted and in-ear headphones are not allowed; bone conduction devices are acceptable.
Entries are priced at £27 for the 10k and £32 for the half marathon. Minimum ages are 16 for the 10k and 17 for the half marathon. The race cut off time is four hours for both distances. Merchandise can be pre-ordered up to three weeks before the event and free digital race photos are provided after the event.
The event supports Jubilee Foodbank Market Harborough and Weston Favell Centre Foodbank Northampton and offers entrants an opportunity to donate. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
