The Pistol Ultra Run - Alcoa, Tennessee
The Pistol is a multi-distance running event held March 13–14, 2027 in Alcoa, Tennessee. Races start and finish at the Springbrook Pool Center and use a paved greenway that follows Pistol Creek. The course is USATF certified and described as flat and fast with a loop layout.
Support features include fully stocked aid stations, volunteers positioned along the course, and night lighting on sections of the route for safety. The event allows push rims and walkers. Generous cutoffs are provided for longer distances, with maximum time allowances noted up to 32 hours for the longest events.
A Double Barrel option pairs a 50K and a 50 Mile event; participants must start and finish both segments to qualify for the Double Barrel award. Weekend services include packet pickup and an on-site Pistol store at a recommended hotel arrival location the day before racing. Participants may set up their own support crew areas and have access to indoor heated restrooms along the venue.
