Event Overview
The Zapata Crime Stoppers Pisoteando el Crimen 5k Run and Walk is a community athletic event held in Zapata, Texas. The event takes place at the Zapata County Fairgrounds, located at 405 W. 23rd Ave. Participants can choose between running or walking the designated distance.

Registration and Participation
The event is open to individual participants across various age groups. Registration fees increase as the event date approaches, with options for early entry or same-day registration on June 20th. Individuals who complete their registration by June 7th are guaranteed an event shirt and a participation medal. For those registering after this date, availability of shirts, specific sizes, and participation medals is not guaranteed. Packet pickup and pre-registration are scheduled for the day before the event at a location in Zapata.
Awards and Categories
Recognition is provided for various performance levels. Trophies are awarded to overall male and female winners, as well as winners in specific divisions including Masters (40-49), Senior Masters (50-59), Ultra Masters (60-69), and Ultra Senior Masters (70 and over).
