Haunted 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Marathon
The US Road Running race in Stillwater takes place at Boomer Lake Park. The event center is located at Shelter 3, which is situated on the west side of the lake next to the splash pad. This gathering serves as the starting point for all race distances and the location for packet pickup, which occurs shortly before the races begin. Participation requires advance registration online as no on-site registration is available.
The event offers varied distances suitable for different goals:
- 5K: A single out-and-back loop on a 3.11-mile course.
- 10K: Two laps of the out-and-back course.
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles): Four laps of a dedicated 3.28-mile out-and-back course.
- Marathon (26.2 Miles): Eight laps of the 3.28-mile out-and-back course.
The courses are designed as out-and-back routes on paved surfaces. A time limit of six hours is in place for all participants across all distances. Finisher medals are awarded to those who complete their respective races, and there is a coordinated focus on costumes during the event. Participants are encouraged to arrive at the west side of Boomer Lake Park specifically, as the general park address typically directs visitors to the east side.
